Gerade habe ich einige besonders schöne Lizenzausgaben bekommen. Zum einen gibt es Lieselotte jetzt endlich auch in französischer Sprache. Wenn auch zunächst einmal nur in Belgien :o) Die ersten Bände erscheinen im Februar beim Verlag Renaissance du livre.
Und dann ist gerade auch eine dänische Ausgabe vom Lieselotte-Weihnachtsbuch erschienen.
Auch darüber freue ich mich sehr. Und in Skandinavisch wirkt ja alles direkt noch viel weihnachtlicher... :o)
Außerdem bin ich entzückt, dass das dänische Wort für Bastelideen „klippe-klistre-idéer“ ist.
Auch ein paar Vogelnamen kann ich lernen, ...
... sowie einige dänische Weihnachtslieder, die der Verlag für die deutschen Lieder der Originalausgabe eingesetzt hat. Da bekommt man doch direkt Laune auf ein bisschen jul...

Congratulations. Not only is having your work translated into different languages for sale in different countries, but that must bring in a bit of extra money too.
As usual, the U.S. publishers are way behind the ball. We only have three "Millie" books that I know of. I have all of them. But I have had to buy most of them from amazon.de in order to continue enjoying the adventures of Lieselotte. There are even one or two that I have translated myself using Google Translate to enjoy the story.
I would like to eventually find the time to rewrite the Lieselotte songs to that they rhyme and match the music. That is much more difficult than a straight translation of a story. And since I have to use Google it doesn't translate every word so there is an occasional word that I just have to guess the meaning of.
I might try the apple cake recipe too.
Thank you very much! It is really very nice to see the book in other languages. And to realize that Lieselotte is known in corners of the world that are indeed very far away from here...
I would be happy if more of the books would be published in America. But the U.S. market is quite complicated. I've heard that most of the picture books are sold to schools and libraries and must meet some particular educational concerns.
I'm very touched, though, that you google-translate your way through the German editions :o) I hope you enjoy the books, and in the case of the latest one, the music, too.
